People have been asking us how to set up their own MTC, and we've finally managed to put instructions online. https://www.libavg.de/wiki/index.php/Building_a_MultiTouch_Console contains a description of the building process, some schematics and a list of materials to use.

We've enhanced the mtc to recognize hands above the table surface and do some other extremely nifty things as well. As always, the software needed to do this is open source and available at http://www.libavg.de/.
